Crazy call at Full Tilt Poker, or not?

June 9th, 2009 by admin
I make what seems to be a questionable call after I tried to steal a pot and got reraised.

I think that raise on the button with 6-9 suited was a good play. You read your opponent right and got good odds to call. That’s a great edge in poker. This wasn’t donkey. Donkey would have been having nothing invested and calling the all-in.

  4. DIECASTER says:

DONKEYS…..can always justify being a donkey.

I like the call here. Don’t love the first raise, unless you know the limpers are likely to fold and/or the BB doesn’t defend so often (but you are putting him to the test anyway, as he can’t call, he has to shove or fold). You’re getting 3-1 pot odds on a call here, there is near enough 0 percent chance I’d let this go. You have enough chips to play on even if you lose. So yeah.. Good call. ;)

The initial raise youll probably get action this hand and everytime you raise was very questionable but you had to remember this is good thing for later on.

    I second that

I wouldnt say that because he was 47/52 against lower pair, 40/60 to AJ,AT,A9,A8,A7…Huge favorite against Kx, Qx… Yes, he could be dominated by high pair or AK,AQ, but taking considered, that only raise before him was from the button and from the guy who raised with 96suited (i belive its his standard paly). He might just think he’s aggresive and raised a marginal hand. BUT since he’s playing 5 bucks sng, the all in was just a desperate act from a guy who lost a big pot before…

You got that right! Dude if online sites didn’t reward all the fish and donks that played online, they’d go out of business.

These same people get eaten alive in live games.

The raise to pick up that little pot was very questionable.

An easy call and worst case scenario wouldnt be vs an easy call and worst case scenario wouldnt be vs an.
An easy call and worst case scenario wouldnt be against 99.
An over pair it would be against 99.
